My Dream Home..
May 2, 2008Salam,
Dear friends of mine,
I’m sure my friend Green Sufi would agree with me on this one..
This is the one perfect place to live. Away from technology, concrete, materialism, conquest, competition, cars, roads.
This is a snapshot of Kashmir’s Neelum Valley. I bumped into it while surfing. Yaar, it just gives me goosebumps thinking about it.
O’Allah send your Peace and Blessings on the Valley of Kashmir…
Subhanallah… There’s so much beauty in this world.. But somehow we’re stuck in a trap of doing the same thing and thinking the same thoughts everyday. We’re challenging all the bounderies of Nature but we’re not testing our own abilities to survive with less..
Until now, the general theory is, more wealth and comfort increases productivity, and improves quality of life. The time has come to TRASH that theory. Lets make a pledge to ourselves. Of not using our cars for journeys less than 3 kms. Getting used to living without Air conditioners when we can, and minimising our use of electricity. Trust me, we can survive on much less than we think, infact THRIVE! Just try this alternate lifestyle, maximising on daylight hours and decreasing dependance on technology. You will experience energy unleashed! Money back Guarentee

ameen to that!
Hafizji, you’ve reminded me of these verses by Allama:
shorish se baghta hoon dil dhondtha hai mera
aisa sakoot jis par taqreer bhi fida ho
marta hoon khamoshi par ye arzoo hai meri
daman mein koh ke ik chota sa jhonpra ho
azad fikr se hoon uzlat mein din guzaroon
dunya ke gham ka dil se kanta nikal gaya ho
tis indeed a very enticing picture dear bro
Chaiwala Bhai,
Subhanallah,Allama (R.A) ke kalam se kya khoob chunao kya.. maybe we can have a colony of bloggers in Neelum Valley.. freelance writers and subsistence level organic farmers. What do you say? I know GreenSufi would agree..
how could one say no to such an offer?
